Pundit 'wowed' by Newcastle update as Ramsey 'set to move' from Juventus
Kevin Campbell has urged Newcastle United to make a concrete move for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the 31-year-old “could be a steal” if he rediscovers his best form under Eddie Howe.
Ramsey has struggled with injuries since moving to Juventus in July 2019.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano (5 January), Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri revealed the centre-midfielder “is set to move” from Turin.
According to Eurosport’s Dean Jones (5 January), the Magpies are at the “front of the queue” for the Wales international.
Ramsey has 18 months left on his contract with Juventus from which he earns £400,000-a-week.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Ramsey signing for Newcastle, Campbell said: “Ramsey would bring a lot to that midfield.
“He definitely has quality and experience. He can score goals from midfield as well which they need.
“The thing with Ramsey is, he’ll be coming with something to prove. He has not got the opportunities he would have liked at Juventus. Why not come back to the Premier League to a Newcastle team that needs goals.
“If he finds form, wow, Newcastle will be getting a steal. He’s still a quality player, there’s no doubt about that.”
Ramsey contributed 65 goals and 65 assists in 371 appearances for Arsenal before moving to Juventus.
The midfield maestro has also been capped 71 times by Wales.
