'Put him down', 'Leaving him out in the cold' – Spurs fans react as player pic posted on Twitter
Tottenham issued a fitness update on centre-back Toby Alderweireld after manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that he wouldn’t be available for the crunch Champions League match with Juventus next week.
Alderweireld is still recovering from a hamstring injury and was pictured doing outside work, although Pochettino also confirmed that he wasn’t yet in full first-team training.
The picture was posted on the official Tottenham Twitter page on Friday afternoon.

One Tottenham fan translated the picture to, “Leaving him out in the cold until he signs that contract.”
Another said making him train outside was cruel in this weather and that they should take him indoors.
One fan was less charitable saying that his injury was going on too long and that Tottenham should “put him down”.

Hamstring injuries are so difficult to recover from regardless of training staff/rehab regiment. I’ve been fighting mine for ~2 yrs
