Ross McCrorie delivers verdict on Rangers January signings, makes claim about quality

Rangers star Ross McCrorie has raved about the Gers’ five January recruits and claims the “quality has definitely gone up” in the Ibrox squad as a result.
Jamie Murphy, Sean Goss, Russell Martin, Greg Docherty and Jason Cummings have all arrived at Ibrox this month as manager Graeme Murty and director of football Mark Allen revamp the squad built by Pedro Caixinha.
The Gers could still make more signings before the window closes on Wednesday night to add to theair already impressive January business.
McCrorie admits players will be “looking over their shoulder” now as they worry about their first-team place after the Gers’ busy January.
“They have made a huge difference and the quality has definitely gone up,” McCrorie said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“It’s healthy for everyone to have that competition for places as well, and everyone is going to be looking over their shoulder for players that are maybe not getting as much game time.“They are always there and will always be looking to play as well.
The 19-year-old is currently sidelined with a foot injury but had been one of the first names on Graeme Murty’s team-sheet before the winter break.
McCrorie could find himself moved back into defence once he recovers from injury after a number of arrivals in midfield will likely mean the Scotland Under-21 international is used to fill the gap left by Danny Wilson’s departure to Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids.
Murty’s side have won both of their games since returning to action following the winter break and will be hoping to make it three out of three on Wednesday night when they face Highland League minnows Fraserburgh in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup at tiny Bellslea Park.
In other Rangers news, Oli McBurnie raved about this Light Blues player after the win against Ross County on Sunday.
