Mills expects Premier League giants to intensify interest in Rangers ace tomorrow after Barisic reveal
Danny Mills has claimed Borna Barisic could help seal a move away from Rangers with a strong performance from Croatia against Scotland on Tuesday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender suggested the defender would be very keen on a potential move to the Premier League.
Football Insider revealed on the day of Croatia’s opening game with England (13 June) that talent spotters from Leeds, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Wolves were set to run the rule over Barisic.
But he missed the game at Wembley as well as Croatia’s draw with the Czech Republic on Friday with a back injury.
Manager Zlatko Dalic revealed ahead of the game with the Czech Republic, as quoted by the Daily Record, he “expects and needs” him back for the fixture against Scotland on Tuesday 22 June.
And Mills has suggested a good performance could “confirm” interest from Premier League clubs.

He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Most people want to play in the Premier League.
“Not only because it’s the Premier League and the profile means you’ll get noticed all around the world but undoubtedly the financial package will be bigger as well.
“No matter what you say about players, that will always come into the equation. It’s impossible that it won’t.
“If he does have a good end to the Euros and gets fit, it’s that confirmation.
“He’s not coming out of nowhere. These players will be scouted for some time but it’s that confirmation in big games under pressure. That’s what a lot of these clubs are looking for.”
