Rangers do not regret Findlay Curtis loan exit despite his Scotland call-up
Rangers are happy with Findlay Curtis’ progress out on loan at Kilmarnock and have no regrets over letting him leave the club in the January window.
Curtis has earned a Scotland call-up after he made the short-term move to Killie at the end of the winter transfer window despite playing 21 times for Rangers in the first half of the campaign.
The 19-year-old winger has impressed for the relegation-battling Premiership side, with starts in each of their last five games to help fire them to valuable wins over St Mirren and Hearts.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Rangers are content with how things have panned out so far and do not wish they had kept him at the club for the second half of the season.
He is also not set to be involved in Rangers’ transfer plans this summer, with a plan in place for him to return to Ibrox and be a part of Danny Rohl’s squad next season.

Rangers remain in the Premiership title race with eight games left to play, but some have questioned the decision to loan Curtis out with the stakes being so high.
He was a surprise inclusion in Steve Clarke’s latest Scotland squad, but the 62-year-old believes he is ready and thinks Curtis can have a similar impact to injured Bournemouth star Ben Gannon-Doak.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “I don’t think they’ll regret it. Obviously it was a decision made by the club because they didn’t feel like he’d get enough first-team minutes under Danny Rohl in the second half of the season.
“It was a decision to send him to Kilmarnock to help aid his development and get him regular first-team football to help him progress.
“He’s taken that opportunity at Kilmarnock. Six appearances so far for them during this loan spell, and he’s now won this call-up to the Scotland squad, which is great news for him and also good for Rangers in that respect.”
Rangers face tough task to sign Nasser Djiga permanently
Rangers’ inconsistencies have seen them lose ground on Hearts and Celtic in the title race, but Djiga has impressed throughout the campaign while on loan from Wolves.
He has played 34 times for the Gers this season and they would like to sign him on a permanent deal this summer as a result of his strong form.
Sources have, however, told Football Insider that Rangers will find it hard to land Djiga as Wolves plan to assess his future in the summer and could even give him a chance in their side if they are relegated to the Championship.
He is also tied down to a long-term contract at Molineux until 2030, so would likely command a sizeable asking price that Rangers may not be able to afford.
