Rangers: Emmanuel Fernandez sends cheeky message to Mikey Moore, he’s desperate for him to stay

Rangers’ squad have unsurprisingly been buoyed by the stunning second-half comeback that saw them win 6-3 away at Falkirk on Sunday.

Danny Rohl’s side found themselves facing a two-goal deficit inside the opening half an hour away from home, but quickfire goals either side of half-time turned the game on its head.

Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski both notched braces, while Tochi Chukwuani and Nicolas Raskin also got on the scoresheet in what ultimately proved to be a rampant display from the Gers.

Infuential Tottenham Hotspur loanee Mikey Moore was taken off at the end of the first-half, having been a serious injury doubt ahead of the game, but his teammates still ensured that they got the job done.

Rangers’ latest victory has taken them back to within a point of Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership table heading into the all-important league split.

Emmanuel Fernandez demands Mikey Moore permanent deal

Rangers’ push to secure victory at Falkirk has clearly left the players in good spirits, and it was a clear statement of intent from Rohl’s men heading into the split.

Emmanuel Fernandez turned in another imposing display at the back to help steady the ship as the game wore on, and he was quick to take to Instagram after the game to thank the travelling support for their efforts.

The defender posted a series of photos starting with his team in their huddle before the game, and accompanied it with the caption: “What a game. Your support kept us in it,” followed by three blue heart emojis.

Moore responded to the 24-year-old’s post by commenting, “some player,” which quickly drew a cheeky response from Fernandez.

There has been a growing clamour from Rangers fans for Moore to secure another loan or even a permanent switch to return to Ibrox next season, and Fernandez was keen to fuel that even further.

He replied to the starlet’s comment with the simple one-word message of: “Stay x.”

Moore has quickly become a much-loved figure for his loan club, and Fernandez has now made it perfectly clear that he is desperate to play alongside him again next term.

Rangers licking their lips at Tottenham demise

Former Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider back in February that Rangers have “no chance” of signing Moore permanently this summer, but that may no longer be the case.

His parent club now find themselves inside the relegation zone in the Premier League, and everyone at Ibrox is sure to be licking their lips at Tottenham’s demise in the coming weeks.

Relegation to the Championship would throw everything up in the air for the North Londoners, and while it could result in Moore being a first-team regular for them next term, it is surely the best chance Rangers have of striking another deal for him.

Spurs’ finances are expected to take a transformational hit if they are ultimately unable to beat the drop, and it is certainly not beyond possibility that they could decide to cash in on youngsters like Moore as a result.

The 18-year-old is clearly enjoying his football north of the border, and it is surely still not out of the question that a return could be on the cards.
