Rangers expert issues emphatic Malik Tillman verdict after what he’s ‘seen’
Alan Hutton has tipped Malik Tillman to “flourish” for Rangers this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Gers defender said fans should trust what Julian Nagelsmann has seen in Tillman at Bayern Munich.
As reported by Football Scotland (24 July), the 20-year-old was included on the shortlist for the Golden Boy young player award.
The midfielder made the cut at the list was whittled down to 80 players.
Tillman made his league debut for the Gers in a 2-1 win over Livingston on Saturday (30 July).
He joined Rangers from Bayern Munich on a season-long loan this summer.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Tillman, Hutton said: “I can only talk from what I’ve seen, and it’s not a lot at this moment in time.
“Of course you can see he’s got technical ability, he’s quite comfortable on the ball, Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich obviously saw something in him so you need to trust what he’s seen so far.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what he brings. He’s not had a lot of minutes so far. We know the Scottish league and how demanding it is with the cup games, Europe and everything.

“He will be needed so I’m looking forward to see how he flourishes at Rangers.
“There will be pressure from him to perform from himself and probably outside as well. So we’ll see how he handles it all.“
