Rangers fans blast Caixinha's decision to start forward against Dunfermline

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers fans on Twitter have blasted manager Pedro Caixinha’s decision to start veteran forward Kenny Miller against Dunfermline on Wednesday evening.

The Gers lined-up against their Scottish Championship opposition at Ibrox having made four changes, including the omission of striker summer signing Eduardo Herrera from the matchday squad.

However, 37-year-old Miller was kept in the team despite playing 77 minutes of the Glasgow giants 2-1 Premiership victory over Motherwell on Sunday afternoon.

Many Rangers fans on social media felt that it was a bad decision to include the forward in their line-up once more and some were calling for the club to hand chances to youngsters such as Ryan Hardie and Joe Dodoo.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Miller is currently in his third spell at Rangers after re-signing for the club in 2014 and has played 243 times in total for the Gers, returning 99 goals and 54 assists.

Last season he was one of the most consistent performers in the squad despite his age and returned a strong 14 goals and eight assists in 47 matches in all competitions.

But, it is clear that fans are eager to see the club blood the next generation of strikers in their team.
