Rangers fans blast ‘disaster’ Djeidi Gassama as summer sale urged after St Mirren display
Rangers fans are calling for Danny Rohl to sell Djedi Gassama in the summer transfer window after the winger struggled to make an impact against St Mirren.
The Gers edged past St Mirren 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from left-back Tuur Rommens, despite Rohl’s side having 17 shots on goal across the 90 minutes.
It was a much-needed victory for the Glasgow club after failing to beat rivals Celtic at home on consecutive weekends in league and cup.
The three points keeps Rangers’ Scottish Premiership title hopes alive, with Hearts’ defeat at Kilmarnock meaning Rohl’s side have reduced the gap on the league leaders to just three points.

Gassama has largely failed to make an impact at Ibrox since he signed for the club last summer from Sheffield Wednesday, with supporters convinced that he is “not a Rangers player.”
The 22-year-old’s goal drought in all competitions extended to eight games in all competitions after he failed to find the back of the net against St Mirren.
The winger was substituted after 58 minutes of the contest after only having had two shots in the opposition box.
During his debut season at Rangers, Gassama has only found the net eight times, with four of those goals coming in Champions League qualification matches.
One Gers supporter called Gassama a “disaster of a signing,” whilst another fan posted that he is “not good enough technically or mentally.”
James Tavernier’s future remains unclear at Rangers
Sources have told Football Insider that Rangers may not offer James Tavernier a new contract and could look to replace the 34-year-old in the summer.
Rangers are still weighing up the decision over whether to hand Tavernier a new deal when his current contract expires at the end of the season.

The Gers captain has seen his playing time reduced under Rohl, but he did start the win over St Mirren ahead of Dujon Sterling.
Tavernier would like to stay in Glasgow, with the defender having been at Ibrox since he joined from Wigan in 2015.
Rangers host Aberdeen next in the Scottish Premiership, where Tavernier will hope to keep his place in the starting line-up.
