Rangers fans left delighted by major transfer announcement – ‘We are so back’

Rangers have completed a big signing ahead of the new season and fans are naturally delighted.

The Scottish Premiership side are heading into this transfer window after the news that Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises took over the club last month.

Football Insider were exclusively told by finance expert Dan Plumley that their £20million investment would be “hugely positive.”

The Bears have not won the Premiership title since 2020-21, but are hoping that new manager Russell Martin, alongside fresh investment, can help spur a title challenge next season.

Celtic have won the past four titles, but fans are optimistic their new signing can help change their fortunes.

Fresh arrival will give Rangers new dimension

Fans are excited by the news that Rangers have snapped up 22-year-old Lyall Cameron from Dundee.

Cameron has officially joined the club after signing a pre-contract agreement with the Glasgow side in February before helping Dundee avoid relegation.

The midfielder came through the academy at Dens Park and scored 14 goals and grabbed nine assists in 41 appearances for the club last season.

Goals from midfield were a problem for Rangers last season, so Cameron is sure to add a much needed threat from the middle of the park.

Rangers require fresh additions to the squad ahead of some key departures this month including Ianis Hagi, Tom Lawrence and Vaclav Cerny.

Rangers took to X to welcome Cameron to the club (17 June) with one fan replying to the post by stating “we are so back”.

Rangers support should be excited by Cameron arrival

With fresh investment, a new manager and Cameron signed on, there is a feel good factor around Rangers right now.

In a difficult for season for Dundee, which saw manager Tony Docherty sacked a day after the campaign ended, Cameron was a rare bright spark.

The Scot scored twice on the final day of the season against St Johnstone to ensure Dundee didn’t fall into the relegation play-off.

Expectations and scrutiny will be higher at Rangers, and Cameron will have to adjust quickly to the high demands.

The Bears have already had a busy summer and that looks set to continue as Martin shapes the squad into his image.

There are also question marks over the future of key players like captain James Tavernier.
