'Out of nowhere' - Rangers fans react as international ace jets in to undergo medical
By Harry Sykes
Declan John is set to undergo a Rangers medical after agreeing the terms of a loan move – and fans of the club took to Twitter to express their delight.
Football Insider has learned that Wales international, 22, is expected to arrive on a flight to Glasgow on Wednesday evening before undergoing medical tests and completing a move to the Scottish giants on Thursday.
This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday morning that the Scottish giants were trying to land John, 22, on an initial loan with a view to a permanent deal.
The deal has progressed during the day and it is now all but done as Pedro Caixinha prepares to finalise his 11th summer signing.
The Ibrox faithful took to Twitter in their droves to respond to Football Insider‘s exclusive, with most impressed by the pedigree of a player who made 20 top-flight appearances during Cardiff’s Premier League days.

It seems to me he plays wide as a wing back or on the wing. Never knowing when the rain sets in #DeclanJohn

Welshman John has been targeted to provide cover for skipper Lee Wallace at left-back.
The 22-year-old, who is predominantly a left-back but can also play left midfield, has started only one game for Cardiff since Neil Warnock was appointed manager of the club last October.
The Wales international has found himself behind Joe Bennett in the pecking order at the Cardiff City Stadium and Warnock has been happy to let him move on.
John is in the final year of his contract at Cardiff, which paved the way for Rangers to swoop and tie up a season-long loan.
John has come through the ranks at Cardiff and made 52 appearances for the club since breaking into the first-team in 2012.
In other Rangers transfer news, the club are working on a last-gasp summer signing of a proven Premier League player.
