Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their new hope that the club can sign Sean Goss this summer after he revealed he is “loving” life at Ibrox.

Goss has made a huge impact at Ibrox since joining the club on loan in January on a deal that runs for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old has taken advantage of injuries to Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack to nail down a regular starting spot in central midfield and has been integral to the team’s run of eight wins from nine matches since the winter break.

Graeme Murty went public with his interest in signing Goss permanently this week but he was scolded by QPR manager Ian Holloway, who insisted the player would return to his parent club in the summer and stay there.

Intriguingly, the Manchester United academy product has revealed that he was told by Holloway, who brought the player to Loftus Road in January of last year, that his style of play does not suit his parent team.

“When I was at QPR I was told I wouldn’t fit into the way the manager wanted to set up the midfield and the way we were playing at the time,” Goss told Sky Sports News, as quoted by the Sky Sports website.

“I am just focusing on my time at Rangers just now and I am loving my time here – enjoying the opportunity and the faith being shown in me.”

The Ibrox faithful have been given huge encouragement that a deal can be done as they hailed the “Rolls Royce” midfielder who will surely want to go “somewhere that he is appreciated and utilised”.
