Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha looks on

By James Black

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to urge Pedro Caixinha to call Aarone Nemane up to the first-team for future fixtures after impressing in the Under-20s squad as of late.

Nemane has been restricted to two late substitute appearances so far but started for Graeme Murty’s Under-20’s side in their fixture with Brentford B on Sunday.

The Under-20s ace scored in the 39th minute of the 5-2 win, with Ryan Hardie’s hat-trick and a goal from Jamie Barjonas doing enough to give the young Gers a comfortable win over strong opposition.

With Josh Windass struggling for form, Rangers fans want to see 19-year-old Nemane in the first-team in their upcoming Premiership fixtures.

Nemane has only had ten minutes of first-team game-time off the bench so far for Rangers but the fleet-footed winger could improve Caixinha’s side.

If he does get his chance, Caixinha could look at offering the youngster an extension to his loan or even permanent deal with his Manchester City contract expiring at the end of the season.

Nemane also faces competition from Dalcio for a first team place if Caixinha was drop the struggling Windass.

Nemane would have likely featured in the cancelled Eusebio Cup fixture with Benfica but will now have to wait until the Gers return to domestic action on October 13 against St. Johnstone.
