Rangers fans react on Twitter as Warburton edges Nottingham Forest closer to relegation

By Amir Mir

Nottingham Forest have edged closer to the relegation zone after their 1-0 defeat at Cardiff on Easter Monday – and Rangers fans on Twitter are not surprised.

Mark Warburton is currently in charge of the struggling English Championship club after he left the Gers in February and subsequently joined Forest in March.

The 54-year-old left Ibrox on bad terms, with the club stating that he had resigned from his post, only for Warburton to deny those claims.

Furthermore, he left the Gers struggling in third place in the Scottish Premiership table as they were falling further behind their rivals Celtic.

Since his move to the Forest Ground, Warburton has won only one match, losing three and drawing the other two games.

As a result, his side, who had already been struggling in the second tier prior to his arrival, are now one place and one point above the bottom three.

The view from the Rangers faithful is that Warburton is making the same mistakes he made at Forest compared the ones he made in his previous job.

Fans pointed towards the fact that he has no plan B, is too focused on possession, while the attacking play is gutless.

Three matches of the season remain for Warburton as safety in the Championship is sill in their hands.

They take on promotion hopefuls Reading, then QPR and Ipswich in their last three encounters, knowing nine points will help then avoid relegation to League One.
