'Brilliant' - Rangers fans react to starting XI v Celtic

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has made three changes to his side to face Celtic in their crunch Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox.

Murty has brought Wes Foderingham, Declan John and Jamie Murphy back into the starting XI to replace Jak Alnwick, Andy Halliday and Jason Cummings from the 4-1 Scottish Cup rout of Falkirk last weekend.

The Light Blues confirmed the team news on their official Twitter account ahead of their clash with their city rivals.

Gers fans were delighted to see Murphy return to the starting XI – with one fan calling it “brilliant news” for the Ibrox giants.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

A win for the Light Blues would see them close the gap on their bitter rivals to three points at the top of the table and blow the Scottish Premiership title race wide open.

Murty’s side have won their last six games and go into the clash with the defending champions in a good run of form.

Last time the two sides met they played out a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park on December 30th in the final game before the winter break.

Sean Goss, Greg Docherty, Murphy will all make their Old Firm debuts for the Ibrox giants while Cummings could be introduced from the bench.

In other Rangers news, the club are firmly in the running to sign a goal machine from north-west English high flyers.
