'Would light it up in this league' - Rangers fans react to reported £4m bid for prolific striker

Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that the club has launched a bid worth £4million for Swansea and Scotland striker Oli McBurnie.

The Sun has reported that Steven Gerrard wants to make McBurnie, 21, his first signing as Rangers manager and has moved quick to snap up the Scotland international after his loan deal at Barnsley came to an end.

McBurnie was prolific for Barnsley, scoring nine goals in 17 appearances for the Yorkshire club after joining them in January and as he enters the final year of his contract in the summer, it is understood that Swansea are looking to wrap up a new deal for him.

However the Sun reports that the goal machine would find it almost impossible to turn down a move Rangers, who are his boyhood club.

Leeds and Derby are also said to be interested in the forward ahead of the upcoming transfer window, but it seems that Gers fans are divided on whether McBurnie would be a good signing for them.

It seems that the majority would be happy to see the Rangers-mad forward arrive at Ibrox, while there are some who are concerned about the finances in any potential deal.
