Rangers could be set to bring Brighton defender Connor Goldson to Ibrox this summer as part of Steven Gerrard’s revolution – and Gers fans are
The Scottish Sun claim the centre-back is firmly on the radar of new manager Gerrard as he looks to shore up his side’s leaky rearguard.
The Brighton defender made 10 appearances for the Seagulls in the season just ended after making his comeback from a serious heart problem that could have ended his career.
Gers fans are excited by the prospect of the defender arriving at Ibrox – with one fan calling him “immense.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Hope he doesn't have to play next to Russel Martin or he'll be back in the hospital after about 5 minutes on the opening day

He was immense in the season where Brighton went unbeaten for ages and didn’t get promoted on 88 points or whatever. Duffy came in and Dunk and Duffy won’t be budged. Also had his heart problem which he is now over. Tbh I don’t think Brighton will sell, he’s a brilliant 3rd 1/2

Just watched a few videos of him seems a good strong defender, looks good in defence and can play the ball. Would be a great signing and defo would improve our defence which is our worst part!

If he’s caught Gerrards eye then I’m happy…

Don’t watch a lot of English football . If Gerrard thinks he is good enough, that will do for me. Can’t do much worse than the dross we watched this season

The 25-year-old started his career with Shrewsbury Town before moving to Brighton in 2015.
Goldson was a regular in the side in his first season with the Seagulls before having to undergo surgery to repair a heart defect which kept him out of action for ten months.
The defender would follow Scott Arfield as new faces in the Ibrox squad as incoming manager Steven Gerrard starts his overhaul of the Light Blues.
Gerrard’s reign gets underway officially on June 1st with the Gers’ first competitive match under the Liverpool icon on July 12th when they kick-off their Europa League campaign.
