'The league is ours next year' - Rangers fans react to confirmed transfer news

Rangers have secured Steven Gerrard’s first signing with Burnley star agreeing a Bosman deal with the Ibrox giants – and Gers fans are blown away by seeing the 29-year-old sign.

The Light Blues announced on their official Twitter account that the Canadian international midfielder has agreed terms on a four-year deal with the Ibrox club.

Gers fans were delighted that the former Falkirk ace has agreed to join the Light Blues – with one fan saying the midfielder is “exactly the type” of signing the Ibrox giants need.

The signing of Arfield should prove to be a good bit of business by the Gers as the former Burnley and Huddersfield star returns to Scottish football.

With Gerrard set to officially take the reins on June 1st, Arfield’s signing will be the start of a huge overhaul of the Gers squad this summer as a number of players leave.

Arfield has made 20 appearances this season, scoring twice, as Burnley have been the Premier League’s surprise package and finishing seventh and securing a place in next season’s Europa League.

The 29-year-old made a total of 193 appearances during his time at Turf Moor and has won 12 caps for the Canadian national team.
