Rangers have completed their third signing of the summer with a season-long loan move for Benfica’s Dalcio – and fan are beginning to get excited on Twitter.

The 21-year-old follows Bruno Alves and Ryan Jack to Ibrox as Pedro Caixinha seeks to make drastic changes to his squad before the Gers’ Europa League campaign starts later this month.

A statement on the Light Blues’ official website on Tuesday confirmed that the attacker has completed a medical at the club’s training ground and is set to join up with the rest of the squad straight away.

Dalcio has never made a first-team appearances at Benfica since he signing from Beleneses two years ago, but has been a key feature in their B team, which plays in the Portuguese second tier.

The Ibrox faithful have high hopes for the upcoming season and expect Dalcio to provide a great deal of quality to their side’s attack.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Dalcio made 33 appearances for Benfica B in Ledman Liga Pro this season, scoring one goal and supplying three assists as his side finished in fourth place, to be the best performing academy team of the year.

His youth career saw him play in a number of different academies, including Sporting CP’s, which famously gifted the game legends such as Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo.
