Rangers

Rangers defender Clint Hill could be set to quit the club at the end of the season – and fans on Twitter are disappointed.

The 38-year-old moved to Ibrox on a one-year deal last summer, and has become an important member of the first-team squad despite his advancing years.

He has scored six goals from 30 appearances in all competitions this season, drawing the plaudits as one of only a few standout performers within the Rangers camp.

The Daily Mail, however, reported on Tuesday that Hill was set to be released by Rangers this summer after holding talks with club chief Pedro Caixinha.

The report details that Caixinha is looking to make major changes to the Rangers first-team squad, but fans on Twitter do not believe that Hill should be part of the discard pile.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Hill’s vast experience alone could be of great value to Caixinha and Rangers next season, but the Portuguese appears adamant to freshen up his options with an injection of younger, perhaps more able, resources.

Nevertheless, if he were to depart Rangers this summer, fans will remember him for what he offered the club during his time at Ibrox, in particular, his late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Celtic in March.
