Josh Windass has reportedly agreed the terms of a new Rangers contract that he will sign this afternoon (Friday) – and fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight.
Mark Dingwall, who runs the Follow Follow forum about the Glasgow giants and has close contacts inside Ibrox, reported on his personal Twitter account this morning that the attacking midfielder is set to remain until “at least” the summer of 2021.
Dingwall has claimed that the terms of a deal has been settled between Windass and Rangers chiefs and he will put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal this afternoon.

Rangers fans took to social media to react positively to the revelation about Windass committing to a new contract, hailing it as “great news” and for “making my Friday”.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

The reports of Windass’ new deal comes just days after defender James Tavernier put pen-to-paper on a contract until 2021.
Manager Graeme Murty is keen to reward his in-form stars for their efforts at Ibrox as he looks to build some momentum in the second half of the campaign.
The Englishman, 24, has been one of Rangers’ outstanding players in recent months and attracted strong interest from clubs south of the border last month.
Football Insider exclusively revealed in the middle of the January window that Rangers were set to offer Windass a new contract after rejecting bids for him from Sheffield United, Preston North End and Wigan Athletic.
Windass still has two-and-a-half years left on his current contract, but the club want to reflect his importance in Murty’s side.
The former Accrington star has scored 12 goals and supplied eight assists from 30 matches in all competitions this season.
In other Rangers news, a stunning £50,000-a-week deal is on offer to a Light Blues first teamer in game-changing development.
