Mark, I heard his original deal had a 3.5m release clause. I imagine if that was true it will be a higher figure now?

Hopefully get wee Fredo on an improved deal with a hefty release clause next

The reports of Windass’ new deal comes just days after defender James Tavernier put pen-to-paper on a contract until 2021.
Manager Graeme Murty is keen to reward his in-form stars for their efforts at Ibrox as he looks to build some momentum in the second half of the campaign.
The Englishman, 24, has been one of Rangers’ outstanding players in recent months and attracted strong interest from clubs south of the border last month.
Football Insider exclusively revealed in the middle of the January window that Rangers were set to offer Windass a new contract after rejecting bids for him from Sheffield United, Preston North End and Wigan Athletic.
Windass still has two-and-a-half years left on his current contract, but the club want to reflect his importance in Murty’s side.
The former Accrington star has scored 12 goals and supplied eight assists from 30 matches in all competitions this season.
