Rangers senior player in second social media savaging

By James Black

Rangers striker Kenny Miller’s agent Dave Baldwin has gone on a second social media rampage after earlier savaging the Ibrox club over their handling of Miller.

Miller was banished to the club’s Under-20 squad after he was accused of passing information from a team meeting in the wake of the recent 2-0 Old Firm defeat to Celtic.

The 37-year-old has missed the Scottish Premiership wins over Hamilton and St. Johnstone – facing Brentford B with the Under-20’s instead – and it’s unclear if he’ll be involved in this weekend’s Scottish League Cup semi-final with Motherwell.

Representative Baldwin savaged Rangers over the way they dealt with the issue, insisting Miller was one of the “best professionals” an calling the club’s reaction “embarrassing.”

After Miller’s former Celtic and Wolves teammate Lee Naylor commented, agreeing with Baldwin’s sentiments.

“Correct @lee_naylor_ and you should know,” Baldwin wrote on Instagram, as qouted by the Scottish Sun’s website.

“Tired of phone call after phone call from journalists asking me to comment on Kenny being the dressing room leak.

“The biggest pile of nonsense ever.

“There is my comment!”

It’s unlikely that Baldwin’s comments will endear him to Rangers’ management team.

Miller had been a near-constant sight in Caixinha’s side until the Old Firm clash but now looks to be frozen out of Caixinha’s plans.

Manager Pedro Caxinha claimed Miller missed the win over St. Johnstone after picking up a slight injury during training before Friday’s win.

Miller has had three spells with the Glasgow giants, scoring 100 times in 250 appearances, but looks set to be leaving Ibrox before too long.

In other Rangers transfer news, a £7.5million midfielder is firmly in the running to be the club’s next signing.
