Campbell: Rangers must move fast after Morelos shares transfer confession
Rangers must act now and tie Alfredo Morelos down to a new contract.
That is the view of ex-Premier League hitman Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 25-year-old Colombian striker.
Morelos has two years remaining on his current Ibrox deal and last signed an extension in March 2019.

Speaking to Colombian outlet Caracol Radio on 1 September, Morelos admitted he was “happy” at the club.
But he also claimed that he “hope[s] that soon the opportunity to leave will be given.”
This site revealed back in July that Rangers had set a £13million asking price for Morelos amid interest from Portuguese giants Porto.
That came after talks over a new contract failed to get off the ground earlier this year.
Campbell urged Rangers to ramp up their efforts to sign Morelos to a new deal before his transfer value plummets.
“With two years left on his contract, the negotiations have to start now,” he told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“You don’t want to get to 18 months or a year left and nothing has been signed.
“Once you get to know whether you’re selling him or he is signing a new contract, you’ve got to act. Period. While he’s happy, get him signed.”

Morelos has netted three times and laid on one assist in seven appearances for Steven Gerrard’s side this season.
He joined the Scottish champions from HJK Helsinki in 2017 and has scored 97 goals for the club in total.
