On-loan Rangers striker Ryan Hardie has been named SPFL Championship of the month for his form while at Livingston – and the Gers need to agree a new deal for the soon-to-be free agent.
Hardie’s Ibrox deal comes to an end in the summer and with Kenny Miller likely to hang up his boots and potential transfers for Eduardo Herrera and Alfredo Morelos, the Gers could have a new-look forward line next season.
Hardie was in sensational form for the Lions in February, scoring four goals to take his total tally at the Tony Macaroni Arena to five since arriving on loan.

The Scotland Under-21 international has helped David Hopkin’s side to second in the Championship and has regularly impressed while on loan at Livi, Raith Rovers and St. Mirren in recent seasons.
If the Gers were to let the centre-forward slip when his deal runs out in the summer they could regret letting the promising striker go and director of football Mark Allen should be looking at giving the 20-year-old an extended deal – if even only for a single season.
The Ibrox giants should at least give the Stranraer-born striker the chance to prove he is worthy of a longer deal after working his way up through the ranks at the club.
There’s no doubting Hardie knows his way to goal and with the Gers possibly looking at a much-changed attack next season, Hardie has earned a shot to prove he can cut it in the first-team.
