Rangers must figure out how to get star back on track after recent struggles

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has made a blistering start to life with the Ibrox giants after hitting the net 17 times so far this season but, after the goals have dried up, Gers boss Graeme Murty needs to find out how to get the Colombian scoring again.

The 21-year-old has only hit the net three times in his last ten Scottish Premiership appearances and looks to be suffering a bit of a confidence crisis but with a critical run of games coming up for Murty’s side the Gers simply can’t afford to have Morelos firing blanks.

The Colombian has been a vital player for the Gers – even when he hasn’t been scoring – and his physical play often causes problems for opposition defenders.

With a Hampden Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic coming up in two weeks, the Gers only have one more game to get themselves back to winning ways after failing to win any of their last three fixtures.

After Josh Windass limped out of the 2-2 draw with Motherwell, it looks likely that Morelos could get an opportunity to play with Jason Cummings as his strike partner and try to get the Colombian back amongst the goals.

The former HJK Helsinki striker has been prolific over the last 12 months with both the Gers and the Finnish champions and it likely won’t be long before he starts scoring again, but the Gers need to do everything they can to make sure it happens before they face Brendan Rodgers’ side at Hampden.

In other Rangers news, an outspoken BBC pundit has slammed this Gers player after the draw with Motherwell, claiming he was “unbelievably bad”.
