Rangers: Nicolas Raskin sends message to Emmanuel Fernandez after Nigeria exploits
Rangers star Nicolas Raskin has reached out to Emmanuel Fernandez on social media after he scored a maiden international goal for Nigeria.
Fernandez has been a bright spark for Rangers in recent months after stepping up to deliver some consistently strong performances during their title battle with Hearts and Celtic.
The 24-year-old has scored six times for the Gers in 27 appearances so far, and earned himself a spot in Nigeria’s squad for their latest round of fixtures during the international break.
Fernandez scored his first international goal in his second appearance for the Super Eagles’ during their 2-2 draw with Jordan on Tuesday.
Raskin has now congratulated him on the achievement, with both players expecting to play in Rangers’ next match against Dundee United this weekend.

Raskin has also been on international duty over the last 10 days, playing in two friendlies for Belgium against USA and Mexico to take his cap tally up to 11.
He has also been a key player for the Gers throughout this campaign, with some impressive performances leading to doubts around his future at Ibrox beyond the next summer window.

Which clubs has Fernandez been linked to ahead of the summer?
Fernandez’s latest exploits on the international stage are only set to increase the number of clubs that would like to take him off Rangers’ hands.
He will also surely want to keep playing at a high level to make sure of his place in the Super Eagles’ squad on a regular basis, as well as to help make a bigger impact in their quest for success in Africa.
Sources have told Football Insider that West Ham are admirers of Fernandez, but the Gers currently have no plans to let him leave this summer.
Some bigger clubs like Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are each also reportedly interested in the 24-year-old.
