Midfielder runs the show with 8/10 display: Rangers player ratings in win v Partick Thistle

Wes Foderingham – 6: Made one crucial early save to deny Sammon, otherwise didn’t have much to do and had a very comfortable night.
James Tavernier – 8: Excellent in both defence and attack, sealed his performance with a superb goal which all but guaranteed the three points for the Light Blues.
David Bates – 6: Had a couple of dodgy moments in the first-half, but recovered in the second-half and stood up to any Partick attacks which he had to deal with.
Russell Martin – 6: Solid in defence, will be annoyed that he didn’t open the scoring in the game when he headed a free header wide of the goal from a Goss cross.
Declan John – 5: Played relatively well in both defence and attack, particularly going forward, was replaced at half-time by Andy Halliday.
