Rangers player ratings v Dundee: 9/10 rapidly becoming fan favourite

By James Black

Rangers took on Dundee at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon, running out comfortable 4-1 winners over Neil McCann’s side.

Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring for the Gers four minutes before the break after a delightful flick on from Daniel Candeias before substitute Josh Windass doubled Rangers advantage with a header from Candeias’ inch-perfect cross.

Carlos Pena added a third with seven minutes remaining as the Mexican continues to build his fitness after his summer move before Morelos grabbed his second with a lovely strike inside Scott Bain’s near-post.

With leaders Celtic six points ahead of the Light Blues before kick-off, Rangers needed a win to keep touch with their rivals ahead of the first Old Firm game later this month.

The win keeps Rangers in fourth place but closes the gap at the top to three points before the trip to Partick Thistle on Friday night.
