Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has dropped a massive hint over his Ibrox future by retweeting a Colombian news story linking him with a move to Besiktas – and if he wants to move to Turkey then the Ibrox giants should let him go.
The Colombian striker retweeted the video from Colombian website El Meridiano on his personal Twitter account discussing the prospect of the 21-year-old swapping Scotland for Turkey after hitting 18 goals in his debut season for the Light Blues.
Morelos only joined the Gers last summer from HJK Helsinki in a £1million move although the Colombian’s form at Ibrox quickly attracted bids from Chinese Super League side Beijing Renhe over the winter.
The 21-year-old is unlikely to remain at Ibrox too much longer as Steven Gerrard prepares to take the reins with a massive turnover of players expected in the summer.
Morelos finished the season as the Gers’ joint-top goalscorer with Josh Windass and quickly won over fans with his performances, although his form dropped off towards the end of the campaign.
The Turkish giants have yet to make a bid for Morelos and any move would likely cost them a substantial fee after the Gers rejected £8million in January for him.
