Rangers star sends Twitter message to Oli McBurnie after deadline day deal

Rangers star Sean Goss has wished Oli McBurnie all the best after he moved on loan to Barnsley on deadline day.
Swansea’s McBurnie, 21, had been the subject of a lot of speculation in the final hours of the January transfer window with Daily Record journalist Scott McDermott reporting that the Light Blues had been in contact over a possible move for the centre-forward.
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has claimed on his personal Twitter account that Sunderland had “pipped” the Gers to McBurnie’s signature, before he ended up agreeing terms to move to Barnsley.
Goss, 22, was the first of Graeme Murty’s many signings in January and has since hit the ground running with a series of impressive displays.
The midfielder took to his personal Twitter account to congratulate McBurnie on his move, as the striker is a known Rangers supporter.
“All the best mate,” the ex-Manchester United youngster said.

Goss was an unused substitute on Wednesday night when Rangers eased into the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup with a 3-0 win against Fraserburgh.
Josh Windass netted a hat-trick to ensure that the Light Blues would play Ayr United in the next round as they keep their hopes alive of winning some major silverware this term.
Next up for Goss and his team-mates is a Scottish Premiership fixture against Neil Lennon’s Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday.
