Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has hilariously slaughtered team-mate James Tavernier over a likeness with kids TV character Spongebob Squarepants following Friday morning’s win over Atletico Mineiro in Orlando.
Gers first-team star Tavernier was photographed pre-match alongside Spongebob leading Foderingham to take to social media and point out the similarity for the world to see.
The pair are known to be close friends and it is unlikely Tavernier will let this one go without taking a shot of his own at Foderingham.
Foderingham quoted a tweet from Rangers showing Tavernier and Spongebob, commenting “same haircut” on his personal Twitter account.

Tavernier played for 45 minutes as Graeme Murty changed all but one of his players at half-time although Foderingham didn’t see any game-time.
The Gers face Corinthians in their final game on Saturday night with Foderingham expected to come back into the side before the Gers return to Scotland.
