Rangers star Josh Windass took to Twitter on Sunday night to give himself a big pat on the back after hitting 18 goals over the campaign – but the Gers ace’s tweet is either gross stupidity or a mind-blowing lack of self awareness.
Hours after seeing their side draw 5-5 with Hibernian to confirm a third-place finish in the Scottish Premiership, Windass shared a tweet from a Gers’ fan site showing how he and Alfredo Morelos had performed in front of goal.
“Two goals and assists between me and Alfredo . Not a bad first season partnership,” Windass said on his personal Twitter account.

The former Accrington ace has a habit of getting on the wrong side of Gers fans on social media and – sometimes – the 24-year-old gives off the impression that he is trying to deliberately antagonise the Light Blues fans.
While Windass might be happy with his contribution over the season, many Rangers fans are less than impressed with him and his Tweet on Sunday night doesn’t exactly do much to endear him to fans.
For fans of Rangers and Celtic, finishing second in the Scottish Premiership is as good as finishing last – which makes a third-place finish all the worse.
Windass and Morelos could have hit the net 100 times between them this season and, if the Gers failed to lift a trophy, it wouldn’t have counted for anything – and it certainly wouldn’t be cause for celebration and a pat on the back.
