Rangers forward in blistering form, but looks destined for harsh summer exit
Rangers striker Ryan Hardie has been in blistering form since joining Livingston on loan in January – but with no movement on a new contract for the striker, he looks destined to leave the Gers when his deal ends in the summer.
Hardie has hit the net seven times in 11 appearances for the Lions as he has helped David Hopkin’s side surge up the Championship table and put themselves in the playoff places.
The Scotland Under-21 international has been on the fringes of the Gers team over the last few years but hasn’t been able to force his way into a regular place in the starting XI.
With Hardie’s contract up in the summer, the Light Blues need to make a decision on his future soon but as things stand it doesn’t look as though the Stranraer-born striker will still be at Ibrox next season.
The Light Blues are almost certain to undergo a huge revamp of the playing squad in the summer and many fans thought Hardie would be given a chance to prove himself after his form at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Gers strikers Kenny Miller and Eduardo Herrera both looking certain to depart in the summer and question marks over both Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings’ long-term Ibrox future’s it seemed that the stage was set for Hardie to at least be given a chance in the first-team next season but as the end of the season edges closer it looks less and less likely.
