Rangers could sell Filip Helander for as much as £8million this summer, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Gers full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 28-year-old would be sold for a “big fee” after his impressive performances at Ibrox.
As revealed by Football Insider, Rangers could sell Helander and George Edmundson this summer to help raise transfer funds.
Sources in Glasgow have told Football Insider the Light Blues are in the market for a new centre-back in case their current options leave Ibrox.
He was signed for a reported £4million back in 2019.
However, Hutton suggested the Gers could double their money if Premier League sides come calling.
“Obviously the most money will be Helander,” Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.
“They’ll be looking for a big fee for him, especially if he’s going to the Premier League. I think he’s done really well. He’s also a Sweden international as well so they’ll be looking for a big fee for him.
“It’s like anything really, if the money’s right, they’ll move him on. If they get £7-8million for Helander, I think they’ll take it. Obviously, they want the highest amount possible.”
Helander has played 31 times across all competitions for Rangers this season, with three goals under his belt.
He has battled it out with the likes of Leon Balogun and Jack Simpson for a spot alongside Connor Goldson at centre-back.
