Rangers told to appoint 'perfect' Van Bronckhorst as private jet flies into Glasgow - pundit
Giovani van Bronckhorst would be the “perfect” manager for Rangers, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Van Bronckhorst would be a “success” at Rangers after his experience with Feyenoord.
Sky Sports News reported today (November 16) the Gers are holding further talks with the Dutchman after initial discussions at the end of last week.
The Scottish Sun then reported a private jet was met by club officials after it flew into Glasgow amid speculation over Van Bronckhorst.
Rangers are stepping up their managerial hunt after Steven Gerrard quit the club to take over at Aston Villa last week.
The club have placed David McCallum, Brian Gilmour, Jermain Defoe and Colin Stewart in charge of the team while they look for Gerrard’s successor.

Van Bronckhorst is out of work after leaving Chinese outfit Guangzhou City almost 12 months ago.
“I think he could come and build on what Gerrard has done, there’s no reason why not,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If he’s done well in the Dutch league and he’s an ex-player then there’s no reason why he can’t take over and be a success.
“I think someone like that would be the perfect appointment.”
Van Bronckhorst won the Dutch Cup twice and the 2016/17 Eredivisie with Feyenoord – the club’s first league title for 18 years.
He spent three seasons as a player with Rangers in the late 1990s and won five trophies with the club, including two league titles.
