Rangers will accept ‘£6m+’ Danilo offer – Hutton
Rangers forward Danilo should be kept at Ibrox after an injury-ravaged season now sees him linked away from the club, according to Alan Hutton.
Talking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers defender says he would like to see the Brazilian stay in Glasgow and has seen flashes of his talent, but feels sorry for the player who has not featured since December.
Danilo scored six goals in 21 appearances since joining from Feyenoord last summer, but has been linked with the exit door [GiveMeSport, 17 May] to allow alternative forward targets to come in.
Danilo set for Rangers exit but club will want to recoup fee
Whilst there is a fair chance Danilo is included in part of a wholesale clear-out to allow the reassembly of Philippe Clement’s squad, the 25-year-old commanded a fee of around £6m last July when Rangers lured him from the Netherlands.
Hutton admitted he’d like to see the club hang onto him, but if they are to sell, they would wish to obtain a profit.
“I absolutely feel bad for him, he had two reasonable injuries that kept him out for a long period of time,” the former Light Blue said.
“I think when he was in the team you could see flashes of him coming onto a game – you could see talent there.
“Hopefully he can stay – I don’t think we’ve seen enough of him and he still has a lot to give.

“Rangers would want decent money if they are selling – they paid £6m for him and would want at least that back, probably plus more.
” From what I know Rangers are looking at one or two targets, but if they don’t get them in, they’re left very light up top.”
In other news, Connor Goldson could be edging closer to an Ibrox exit.
