Rasmus Hojlund reacts to Harry Maguire’s contract announcement at Man United
Harry Maguire has committed his future to Manchester United for another season after signing a contract extension.
The 33-year-old’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but he has become a key figure during the reign of interim manager Michael Carrick.
The defender has started every Premier League game under Carrick, and his performances have earnt him a recall to the England team.
Maguire was sent off in Man United’s most recent fixture at Bournemouth, meaning he will not be available for the visit of Leeds to Old Trafford next.
Man United tying down Maguire to a new deal could reaffirm their backing for Carrick, who is a leading contender to become the clubs next permanent manager.

Whose contracts are expiring at Man United this summer?
Man United defender Tyrell Malacia is one of three players whose contracts will expire at Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Casemiro has already confirmed his departure, whilst a decision has yet to be made on goalkeeper Tom Heaton’s future.
However, former scout at the Red Devils Mick Brown has told Football Insider that Man United will allow Malacia to leave the club at the expiry of his contract.
The 26-year-old was frozen out under Ruben Amorim and has not convinced Carrick that he should remain at the club.
