Ray Parlour has made a hilarious claim by asking why Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was singing “Barcelona, Barcelona” during their 3-2 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon.

The former Arsenal midfielder clearly made a tongue in cheek comment with the Spurs senior man one of many managers touted to replace Luis Enrique at the Nou Camp when he leaves at the end of the season.

During the game against the Toffees at White Hart Lane, Harry Kane was once again the man of the moment with his brace being the difference during the Premier League clash.

Three goals were scored in the last ten minutes of the game but Kane’s opening goal in the first period, which was a long-range effort, was the standout moment.

Nonetheless, after the game, TalkSport pundit Parlour had this to say about Spurs and their manager Pochettino.

“When Dele Alli scored the third, why is Pochettino singing, ‘Barcelona, Barcelona’,” Parlour asked on his personal Twitter account.

Former Argentina international Pochettino joined Spurs during the summer of 2014 when he left his post at Southampton.

During his time in north London, he has been successful, in particular, last season when he guided the club to a Champions League spot.

For a second consecutive season, his side have a chance to secure a top four spot as they currently sit in second place.

Pochettino will now turn his attention to the FA Cup next Sunday when Spurs welcome League One Millwall to White Hart Lane for a mouth-watering contest.
