Newcastle must bolster their options in the final third by rivalling Reading in their reported pursuit of Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells this summer.
Guardian reporter Ed Aarons claimed on his personal Twitter account that the striker is set to be the subject of a £10million offer from Championship promotion hopefuls Reading.

Wells has developed a reputation in the Championship for his ability to regularly find the back of the net, but struggled to do that as much as he has done in the past last season.
Scoring 10 times in 43 games, Wells also provided three assists but it seems that has not put off Jaap Stam’s Reading who are willing to table an eight-figure offer for the Bermuda international.
Wells is yet to make a Premier League appearance but his constant goalscoring form in the Championship would suggest that the speed machine would thrive in the top tier, if given the chance.
