Redknapp: This Tottenham star doesn’t get the praise he deserves
By Matt Bullin
Former Tottenham and Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has heaped praise on Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen following his performance in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old midfielder bagged the decisive goal in the game as he fired home from 30 yards to give his side a massive three points.
The result means Spurs keep pace with table-toppers Chelsea, whose lead at the summit of the Premier League is now at four points with five games to go.
Eriksen has now scored seven goals in the Premier League, as well as making 12 assists, in 31 games.
Those statistics highlight how important a player the Dane has been to Tottenham this term, but he doesn’t get the same recognition as Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Speaking on Sky Sports after Tottenham’s win, as quoted by the Daily Express, Redknapp lauded praise on the 25-year-old.
“He’s still only 25, he’s not even in the prime of his career,” Redknapp said.
“He’s such a talented player but because of all the other players around him, he doesn’t get the praise he deserves.
“If he had tattoos and a different haircut, we wouldn’t stop talking about him.
“In terms of a footballing brain, he’s up there with the de Bruyne’s and all the rest of them.”
The 66-time Denmark international has enjoyed his season outside the Premier League too and has four goals and eight assists in his 12 cup games this campaign.
Since arriving at White Hart Lane from Ajax in 2013 for £12million he has played 174 league and cup games and has contributed to 94 goals (scored 41, assisted 53).
