Redknapp: This Tottenham summer transfer is a possibility

Jamie Redknapp has claimed in the Mail that there is a possibility Kyle Walker will be one of the much-needed new Manchester City signings this summer.
The right-back, 26, has been linked with a Spurs exit in the forthcoming transfer window amid reports he has held showdown talks with manager Mauricio Pochettino.
High profile pundit and ex-England midfielder Redknapp believes City are lining up a mega-money swoop for Walker as they aim to strengthen a team that has not been as effective as anticipated this season.
“City have hardly been in the picture as far as the title has been concerned and failed in Europe,” Redknapp wrote in his weekly column. “They need two new full backs — Kyle Walker could be one of them — and have looked shaky in defence. Vincent Kompany returning has given them steel but will he stay fit for a whole season?

“City may have been ruthless on Saturday but Crystal Palace played into their hands with their makeshift defence.
“Already City are being installed as next season’s title favourites but that can only be in anticipation of the players they will use their vast resources to attract.
“Unless Pep strengthens, City will spend another year as also-rans.”
Walker was recalled to the Spurs starting XI for their 1-0 defeat at West Ham on Friday night but had a poor match and was replaced by Kieran Trippier in the closing stages.
Trippier has been given the nod to start three of Tottenham’s last six matches at right-back, including the marquee fixtures against Chelsea and Arsenal.
