Two regulars axed in Murty 4-2-3-1: Rangers best possible XI to face Partick

Wes Foderingham (Goalkeeper) – There is little doubt that the Ibrox No1 should take his customary place in goal at Firhill.
James Tavernier (Right-back) – The defender has been one of Rangers’ outstanding players this season and, despite giving away the penalty against Hibernian, he must continue his fine partnership on the right flank with Daniel Candeias.
David Bates (Centre-back) – The youngster has made such progress in recent months that Rangers were willing to allow Danny Wilson to head to the MLS in the January window. With Ross McCrorie and Bruno Alves still absent, he must start.
Russell Martin (Centre-back) – Martin was a seriously shrewd signing for Murty, and he should be a key player in the coming months with his battle-hardened experience and leadership skills.
Declan John (Left-back) – The former Cardiff loanee, whose deal was made permanent in January, has made such an impact that it will be difficult for skipper Lee Wallace to regain his regular starting role.
