Reliable journalist: Assist king reportedly on Tottenham radar willing to agree mega-money deal
By Danny Wright
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is willing to put pen to paper to sign a stunning five-year deal worth £110,000-a-week, according to a reliable journalist.
Guardian Sport’s deputy news editor Ed Aarons claims on his personal Twitter account that the assist king is about to agree a deal.
“Wilfried Zaha willing to sign five-year deal worth £110k a week to stay at Crystal Palace,” said Aarons on Wednesday.

The Guardian reported after that the former Manchester United man will sign the deal in order to resist Spurs.
Zaha has been a long-term target of Tottenham, with the Sun claiming earlier this month that Spurs and North London rivals Arsenal were looking to sign the 24-year-old for a fee worth £30million.

It now looks like the Spurs deal could be dead in the water due to the mega-money offer that manager Sam Allardyce and chairman Steve Parish are prepared to offer to see him stay at Selhurst Park.
Zaha has been pivotal to the Eagles’ bid for Premier League survival this season, scoring seven goals and supplying an impressive 11 assists in 34 league appearances.
He was on hand to find the net on Sunday as Allardyce’s men thrashed Hull 4-0 to send the Tigers down and secure their own safety.
Football Insider Verdict
This is a big blow for Mauricio Pochettino as it finally seems his long term pursuit of Zaha is coming to an end. The Ivory Coast international is a very good player and definitely could have played a big role in the Spurs squad but unfortunately it looks unlikely to happen – in the upcoming transfer window at least. Zaha could have offered something that Pochettino’s back-up players fail to deliver every time they appear off the bench – an impact. Without that, Tottenham dropped out of the FA Cup at the penultimate hurdle and failed to get a result at West Ham as the first-teamers failed to perform. It’s definitely back to the drawing board for Poch.
