According to the media broadcaster, the 24-year-old was open to a move to either Crystal Palace or West Ham which means his next stop will be to one of the two clubs
The Ligue 1 defender has been attracting a lot of interest during the transfer window and only earlier on Wednesday it looked as though the Cameroon native would be heading to Palace as Roy Hodgson’s side had offered Lille a £2million fee to take the player until the end of the season on loan deal which would become permanent in the summer with a further £14m.
However, the side who are teetering just above the relegation zone in the French top-flight are thought to want £18m to part with the player.
Lille have one of the worst defensive records in the Ligue 1 having conceded 34 goals this season.
