Reliable journalist: Heckingbottom poised to bring in experience in last throw of Leeds dice

Paul Heckingbottom is trying to bring a new coach into Leeds after a disastrous run of form has seen him with just two wins after 13 games in charge, according to a reliable journalist.

Alan Nixon, the transfer expert from the Sun, has claimed that the Leeds manager is trying to bring in someone “experienced” who would work with the first-team.

He reported the news on his Twitter page on Sunday.

Heckingbottom’s terrible run of form has led to strong criticism from the fans and Football Insider revealed that Leeds were set to axe the manager by the summer.

However, it looks like Heckingbottom is trying to reverse his team’s fortunes in a bid to save his job.

This has more than the faint whiff of desperation. Heckingbottom’s credentials in the Championship aren’t good – either with Leeds or former club Barnsley – and this just confirms that he’s out of his depth. What Leeds fans want to see is not just a new coach, but a whole new manager. They might well get their wish by the summer, or before if results carry on the way they have been.
