It looks like being the end of a pretty dramatic transfer story, after Wood was omitted from the Leeds squad to face Sunderland on Saturday.
It since emerged in the YEP that Wood had been offered a new three-year deal but had turned it down.

That lead to Thomas Christiansen taking him out of the squad, ahead of his medical and proposed move.
Despite there only being two weeks left in the transfer window it looks like it could be busy at Elland Road, with Christiansen confirming in the YEP that he will be looking for a striker replacement.
This news comes after Football Insider exclusively broke that Liam Bridcutt is also undergoing a medical today ahead of a move to Nottingham Forest.
Football Insider verdict:
All’s well that ends well, and although Leeds fans might not be happy about losing a player who scored 30 goals for them last season, £15million is a fair price and £18million would be brilliant. Wood did everything he could to fire Leeds towards promotion last season but just fell short. If they had been promoted it’s likely he would have stayed – he’s said that he wants to play at the highest level. As it is, he’s earned his shot in the English top-flight and most fans will wish him well. His actions over the weekend might have turned fans against him but it looks like he was taken out of the squad rather than refusing to play. Either way it’s time for a new striker and a new era at Elland Road. Fans should still be excited about their prospects in the Championship this season and they can now look forward to a new quality striker addition.
