It looks like Hearts have pipped Rangers to the signing of striker Steven Naismith, according to a reliable journalist.
Naimsith was seen as surplus to requirements by Norwich and now looks likely to sign on for the Scottish club on Thursday.
The news was announced by Sky reporter Keith Downie on his personal Twitter page on Wednesday afternoon.

Sky Sports followed it up on their transfer blog, saying that Naismith will sign a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 45-times capped international had been keen on joining Rangers, according to the Scottish Sun.
So much so, he had reportedly offered to play for them for free until the end of the season.
Football Insider verdict:
This is a great deal for Hearts. Rangers fans will be disappointed that the 31-year-old couldn’t come back fro another spell after five years at Ibrox. However, he could well enjoy a career resurgence at Hearts, where he’s likely to continue his prolific scoring record.
