Reliable journalist: Ronaldo does not want this Tottenham star at Madrid
By Guy Giles
Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has cast doubt on the possibility of Harry Kane moving to Real Madrid, claiming Cristiano Ronaldo does not want to play alongside the England man.
Kane’s performances for Spurs over the last few seasons have caught the eye of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real continuously mentioned as a potential destination for Spurs’ star man.
But now Balague has seemingly dismissed those rumours with the revelation that Madrid’s talisman only wants to play with Karim Benzema as striker, and no one else.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, as quoted by the Express, Balague said: “Harry Kane is linked to Real Madrid because of his performances, which match by the way Cristiano Ronaldo’s in 2017, but also because Benzema is not scoring.
But Balague’s comments seem to suggest that Ronaldo still has faith in his French international teammate, and would not like to see Kane at the Bernabeu.
Balague went on to further distance Kane from a move to the Bernabeu with comments regarding Madrid’s top brass.

He said: “And secondly, I think they will want to give a chance, first to Zidane but also Benzema for a long while. They are both favourites of the president.”
In other Tottenham Hotspur news, Spurs’ squad has been ranked as the second-most valuable in Europe.
