Reliable journalist shares Rangers transfer update on forward duo
By Harvey Byrne
There has been no progress on Hearts winger Jamie Walker joining Rangers, while Joe Dodoo is not expected to depart Ibrox for Mark Warburton’s Nottingham Forest, according to a reliable journalist.
Chris Jack, the senior sports writer for the Herald has claimed via his personal Twitter account on Thursday evening that it is looking to be a quiet final three hours in the transfer window for the Scottish giants with neither forward making a move at this stage.
No progress on Jamie Walker to Rangers yet. Not expecting Joe Dodoo to sign for Forest.

Jack’s update follows claims by the Scotsman earlier in the day stating that the Gers had reignited their pursuit of Hearts’ Walker and were looking to offer a player plus cash deal for the 24-year-old.
However, it would now appear that neither deal is looking to go through with the summer’s transfer deadline coming up for Scottish clubs at 12.00am.

Football Insider verdict:
Keeping hold of Dodoo could work out well for Rangers in the long-term. The young Englishman showed glimpses of quality in the last campaign and at his young age he was sometimes the only bright part in the Gers team last season. Therefore, despite him getting little chance under Pedro Caixinha it may have been too early to let go of Dodoo right now. Not pushing forward for Walker, however could seriously harm the club. The attacker has proven his quality in the Premiership and he could have been a key attacker for the Gers in the future. But, now Rangers will have to make do with their foreign imports, who are still getting to grips of Scottish football and that could leave Caixinha’s behind in the table before it’s even begun.
