Two La Liga clubs are interested in signing Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to a report.
The 23-year-old winger has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place at Arsenal and his lack of game time has frustrated him and alerted both Valencia and Sevilla.
Italian news outlet Tuttosport.com has reported that the north London club will have to fend off interest from both clubs who are “strongly interested” in the services of the attacker.
This comes on the back of Oxlade-Chamberlain suggesting that he might need to move to progress his career.
Talking to Goals on Sunday, as reported by The Sun, the player admitted that, despite being totally committed to Arsenal, he might have to move.
“I’d by lying if I wasn’t going to sit here and say that it has crossed my mind that I need more game time.
“As a footballer you want to play every game. I’m not happy when I’m not playing.
“There is going to come a time in my career, and I think I’m approaching that, when I do need to be getting more regular football.
“But my focus completely and utterly now is on playing for Arsenal and still trying to break into the team when I get the opportunity.
“But there is that in my mind that I do want to get more game time. There comes a time in your career where you have to re-evaluate things and think, ‘Is that going to be here or elsewhere?'”
Oxlade-Chamberlain is under contract until June 2018 and Arsenal are unlikely to let the player go without a fight.
The England international signed for Arsenal from Southampton in 2011 for a fee close to £12million and he has established himself as a fan favourite in the past five years.
He has made 158 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 16 goals and providing 22 assists, but has struggled to make an impact in recent years.
He played 25 games in the 2012/13 Premier league campaign – his most for Arsenal. He played 14 times in the 2013/14 season and made 22 appearances last season but only contributed one goal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is yet to play a full 90 minutes for Arsenal in the Premier league this season, but did score a goal in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool in the opening game.
He also played 90 minutes in the stunning 6-0 win against Ludogorets in the Champions League, scoring one and assisting another.
In other Arsenal transfer news, the club is on alert as reports have come in that this major target has fallen out with his club.
